Manly Wharf c.1943 Mural

A site-specific hand-painted mural referencing Manly’s waterfront history

Client: Commercial venue, Manly NSW

Project type: Large Scale Outdoor Mural

Location: Manly, Sydney NSW

Always Hand Paint Studio created a large-scale site-specific mural for a venue at Manly Wharf in Sydney, referencing the area's rich waterfront history from 1943.

The mural depicts a detailed black-and-white scene of the Manly waterfront — cars, pedestrians, ferries and the harbour foreshore — painted across the lower section of the buildings exterior wall.

This is one of our most detailed historical murals, painted entirely by hand using traditional techniques on a large interior wall surface. The artwork brings character, storytelling, and a genuine sense of place to the venue.
